Honest assessment
The most important step. We establish whether your laxity is early enough for this to help, and tell you plainly if it is not.

Focused ultrasound that lifts from beneath the skin rather than resurfacing it. Real, modest, gradual, and frequently oversold elsewhere.

Ultherapy gives a modest lift, slowly. Anyone describing it as a non surgical facelift is setting you up to be disappointed.
Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to the deep layer of tissue that a surgeon tightens during a facelift, without breaking the skin. That energy causes controlled tissue contraction and, over the following months, new collagen. The result is a modest lift to the brow, jawline and neck.
The word modest is doing real work in that sentence. Ultherapy suits early laxity in people who want gradual improvement and no downtime. It does not replace surgery, and where surgery is what someone actually needs, we say so and refer rather than sell a course that cannot deliver.
What it treats
And a few things they do not. If your concern is not here, the consultation is where we work out what would actually help.
Laser and EnergyThe clearest indication, treated before laxity becomes pronounced.
A subtle lift that opens the eye area without touching the eyelid itself.
Modest tightening where laxity is early rather than established.
Treated alongside the neck where appropriate.
Sometimes used to extend the life of previous surgery, in coordination with the surgeon.
How it works
Four steps, in this order. Nothing is treated until it has been assessed, and nothing is repeated until it has been reviewed.

The most important step. We establish whether your laxity is early enough for this to help, and tell you plainly if it is not.
Results
Mild redness and tenderness. Occasionally slight swelling. You can return to normal activity immediately.
Some tenderness to touch in treated areas can persist for a few weeks and is normal.
Collagen has begun remodelling and the lift becomes noticeable, particularly along the jaw.
The peak of the effect, typically lasting twelve to eighteen months before the natural process resumes.

When we say no
We do not treat in these situations, and we will say so in the consultation, which you are not charged for.
Questions

No, and we would rather say so plainly. It produces a modest lift in early laxity. A facelift repositions tissue surgically and the two are not comparable.
There is discomfort, described as deep heat pulses, and it varies by area. It is manageable and brief, and we can adjust as we go.
Three months for first change, six for the full effect. It is the slowest treatment we offer and that is inherent to how it works.
Twelve to eighteen months. It slows the process rather than stopping it, so maintenance is typically every one to two years.
None. Mild redness and some tenderness, but you can go back to normal life immediately.
By being examined. Early laxity responds well, established laxity does not, and that judgement is the reason the consultation exists.
