Vascular lesions are a medical diagnosis before they are a cosmetic complaint. Being assessed by a dermatologist first is the whole advantage here.
Pulse dye laser targets haemoglobin specifically, which means it treats blood vessels while leaving surrounding skin alone. It is the established treatment for visible facial vessels, the persistent redness of rosacea, and a range of vascular birthmarks and lesions.
Some of what people bring to us as cosmetic redness is a condition that needs diagnosing rather than lasering. That assessment happens here as a matter of course, which is not true of every clinic offering the same machine.

How it works
Four steps, in this order. Nothing is treated until it has been assessed, and nothing is repeated until it has been reviewed.
A physician confirms what the lesion actually is. This is the step that distinguishes a medical clinic and occasionally changes the plan entirely.
Results
Redness and, at higher settings, purple bruising which is expected and means the vessel was treated properly.
If bruising occurred it resolves over roughly a week. Makeup can cover it after the first day or two.
Treated vessels are absorbed by the body and disappear. This is when the result becomes visible.
Some lesions need a short series. Rosacea benefits from occasional maintenance as new vessels form.

Possibly, and at effective settings for larger vessels it is expected rather than a complication. It resolves in about a week and can be covered with makeup.
One to four depending on the lesion. Cherry angiomas often clear in one. Rosacea usually needs a short series and occasional maintenance.
