Vein treatment, Mississauga
Visible facial capillaries and spider veins on the legs, assessed by a physician who checks whether the veins you can see are the whole story.
What it treats
Laser treatment for visible facial and leg veins. The assessment establishes which veins respond to laser and which need a vascular referral.
Broken vessels around the nose and cheeks, which respond very well and often in a single session.
Fine surface vessels, treatable when the underlying circulation is normal.
Small raised red spots that clear readily.
A common and easily treated pattern.
Residual vessels, assessed individually.
How it works
Nothing is treated until it has been examined by a physician led team, and nothing is repeated until it has been reviewed.
A physician examines the pattern and asks about symptoms. This determines whether laser is appropriate or whether a vascular referral comes first.
Settings chosen for vessel size, depth and your skin type, then tested.
Fifteen to forty five minutes. Facial vessels are quick. Leg vessels take longer and bruise more readily.
At six to eight weeks. Vessels clear gradually as the body absorbs them, so early assessment is misleading.
Who you will see
Skin&Co sits inside a medical dermatology practice in Mississauga, and every plan is set by a physician. Dr. Ejaz is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and its Dermatology Residency Program, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Her approach is built around subtle, refined results that keep a face recognisably your own, and an honest answer when a treatment is not the right one for you.
When we say no
A consultation sometimes ends with less treatment than you expected, or none. These are the situations where we will tell you so.
Questions
Treated vessels do not return, but new ones can form, particularly where there is an underlying circulatory cause. That is why the initial assessment matters.
Facial vessels often clear in one or two. Leg vessels typically need two to four and are slower to respond.
A brief snap per pulse with cooling. Legs are more uncomfortable than the face but still well tolerated.
Frequently on the legs, less often on the face. It resolves within a week or so.
If you have aching, swelling, skin changes or prominent bulging veins, yes, and we will tell you that rather than treat the surface.
Two to eight weeks. Vessels clear as the body absorbs them, which is a gradual process.
